In this Belgian comedy-drama, Patrick works as the handyman at his parents’ nudist camp. He has long wondered who he is and where he fits in the world. Then his father dies, and he must take charge of the camp. But to Patrick’s horror, his favourite hammer has gone missing. He begins an obsessive search to find it, but as he digs deeper it turns into an existential quest that might make him finally figure out who he is.
A really original fun and off-beat comedy about the peculiarities of people, letting go, and learning to be happy with who you are. In English, French, and Dutch with English subtitles.
“Part mystery, part black comedy, part metaphor for loss, Patrick is a nakedly true original. It also has the best caravan fight since Kill Bill Vol. 2.” Empire
“enjoyable if self conscious quirky black comedy” The Guardian
“A wry and oddly moving tale set in a world largely unencumbered by clothing, but riddled with intrigue, deceit, and the promise of self-discovery.” The Observer
